Provide systems integration services supporting interactive data wall applications and integration of hardware and software. Lead system and network integration efforts remotely prior to on-site implementation. Assist Customer Support on key customer issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Install and commission various server and large-scale video wall systems as determined by customers’ requirements
• Set up and establish connections between various secondary components (KVM switches, network switches, video devices, audio devices, etc.) to integrate the system components
• Install Activu software for the integrated solution remotely and on-site at customer locations.
• Configure Activu products, including but not limited to all software settings, database configuration, define rights and permissions for groups, define sources (video, web, application, etc.), etc.
• At customer site, set up system components based on configuration tested during in-house testing, modify as necessary
• Troubleshoot the integrated solution as necessary, which includes addressing hardware and configuration issues, and identifying software/OS issues and reporting bugs to QA
• Capable of performing duties of an Audio-Visual Technician
• Assessing integration and system requirements
• Conveying software capabilities and design intentions, verbally and visually, with current software tools and standards.
• Continually develop and expand product and system, and competitive product knowledge.
• Track user and partner reported Cases to Activu Customer Support until they are resolved, adhering to agreed timelines.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Field Preferred
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS
Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex TCP/IP network security, routing, and physical network topologies
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills with Dell and other server and client systems
• Performing administrator function in a Windows environment
• Performing installs and troubleshooting of Windows software, network and operating system components
• Proven communication skills relative to the application of technical products and business issues
• Experience performing component and interface level integration tests
• Ability to read and review engineering drawings required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills relative to the application of technical products and business issues
• Networking knowledge (OSI layers 2, 3, and 4)
• Video and audio integration in collaborative environments
• Ability to work independently and handle tasks without high degree of oversight when required
• Ability to work with a project team and collaborate with fellow team members
Specific Skills / Certifications
• Preferred Certifications:
- InfoComm CTS
-CompTIA Security+
• Top Secret and/or TS/SCI preferred or the ability to gain required clearance
• Travel up to 85% of the time; normally Monday through Friday
• Other tasks assigned by Management from time to time
• Must be handy with tools
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs overhead
• US Citizenship required
• Must possess a valid US Driver's License without restrictions
