JOB SUMMARY ?o perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Primary responsibilities include routine and non-routine accounting tasks including; journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, data maintenance, and other tasks related to the generation of financial statements for internal and external reporting. Involves maintenance of master data, preparing reports and implementing procedures in support of business needs. This role is very deadline driven in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of transactions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
?repare weekly and month end closing journal entries accurately and timely. Including but not limited to bank account activity, T&E reporting, accruals and prepaids
?erform period end account reconciliations accurately and timely (balance sheet and income statement accounts)
?dhere to a strict month end close schedule to ensure timely financial reporting
?aintenance of ERP system: inputting data, coding expenses, scheduling required jobs, and verifying data
?ssist with preparation of internal controls and both internal and external audit activities
?repare predefined or ad hoc reports for management
?repare periodic reports as required for third party contracts (such as gov? census reports)
?ay perform other duties as assigned
Education And Experience
?ssociate Level of Degree in the Accounting or related field of study
? years of demonstrated experience in Bookkeeping
Skills/Knowledge
?ffective time management skills
?bility to manage sensitive data and maintain confidentiality at all times
?rior experience with RTP accounting systems ?racle preferred. Host or Hyperion
?roficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office, Specifically Excel
?xceptional interpersonal skills.
?trong organizational skills.
?trong communication skills (written and verbal).
?bility to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
?bility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance. instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
