Magendzo Law is a growing personal injury law firm known for its collaborative culture and commitment to mentoring attorneys. They are seeking an organized and proactive Associate Attorney to manage personal injury cases, communicate with clients, and contribute to the firm's success.
Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury cases from intake through resolution (settlement, mediation, arbitration, or trial)
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and case analysis to support the case strategy
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing clear updates and guidance
- Participate in litigation, including depositions, hearings, and court appearances
- Negotiate with insurance companies/opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes
Skills
- A JD degree & admission to and good standing with the New York Bar
- 1+ year of experience as an Associate Attorney (litigation experience not required)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple cases
- An ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- 1+ year of personal injury experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
