Job Description
The Supervisor - Production is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily duties of hourly associates engaged in manufacturing activities focused on high efficiency, safety, food safety, quality and cost metrics.
What your day will look like:
?arries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
?nterview, hire, and train associates
?lan, assign, and direct work
?ppraise performance
?ddress complaints and resolve problems
?uilds positive associate morale
?evelop hourly associates as leaders to help in directing work area
?ctively supervising and directing associates on the production lines to build their skills while working toward continuous improvement
?nforce and comply with all Company policies and procedures
?eviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy of stock levels
?ssues written and oral instructions
?ffective use of all maintenance operating systems up to and including Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Production Line Monitoring System (PLMS)
?trong collaboration with other production support teams
?erforms appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
?inimum age 18 years old
?alid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
?ersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
?egular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
?bility to read, write and speak English
?bility to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
?bility to maintain safety and security of Company assets
?bility to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
?trong leadership and organizational skills
?roven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
?igh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
?illingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
?roficient knowledge in the operation of continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment
?bility to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
?bility to effectively adapt to change
?requent walking/standing
