National Account Manager - Distribution & Dealer

Description Purpose The National Accounts Manager is responsible for cultivating long-term growth and relationships with current and new key distribution, co-op, and pro dealer accounts. The NAM will dive into the customers’ organization, understanding their needs and priorities across a national footprint. Grounded in an understanding of Roseburg’s product portfolio, the NAM will develop differentiated strategies and solutions that address customer needs while optimizing outcomes for Roseburg. The NAM is responsible for driving growth across all of Roseburg’s product portfolio, with a focus on plywood and lumber.   Part strategy, part business development, part sales, this role is well suited for a humble sales professional who is comfortable presenting to a room of executives and handing off leads to internal partners.  A successful NAM will have relationships throughout the customer organization and within Roseburg, fostering connections beneficial to both sides. The NAM’s success will be measured by growth in account aligned with Roseburg’s overall product and profitability goals.   Key Responsibilities - Understand and anticipate the customers’ current and future needs through engagement at the executive, product, and regional levels of the organization - Develop strategies and tactics to meet customer needs while growing profitably across the Roseburg portfolio - Partner with Roseburg Sales teams to integrate key account strategies with retail and open market and regional priorities - Deploy product knowledge to solve customer problems across all Roseburg products, with particular focus on plywood and lumber  - Plan and lead annual account planning and goal-setting, with monthly monitoring and reporting that results in action - Serve as key point of contact and clearinghouse for engagement with key accounts; know when to lead, and when to pull in colleagues for the win - Initiate and maintain partnership and communications with key customer stakeholders through in-person visits, industry events, and on-site visits to Roseburg mills  - Prioritize in-person visits with key customer branches and locations to gain regional insight and identify growth opportunities - Maintain awareness of industry and competitor trends and strategies to inform Rosbeburg’s diversified and differentiated approach - Educate customers on Roseburg product mix and features - Lean into data for account insights and strategies, embracing data management through Salesforce and Tableau and visual representation of data and trends - Model company core values - Other duties as assigned   Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in relevant field - 8+ years in Sales, 2+ years in Account Management - Demonstrated track record of partnering effectively with internal stakeholders including regional and product Sales teams - Experience working with large data sets to yield insights and action plans - Demonstrated track record of developing strong relationships with customers that yield profitable solutions for both sides - Executive presence, excellent writing and presenting skills - Curiosity about the building industry, channels, and Roseburg product mix - Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to follow-through - Willingness to engage in tasks at all levels, from briefing executives to planning meeting logistics  - Willingness to travel nationally up to 60%   Preferred Qualifications - Strong understanding of traditional building products distribution channel - Experience in construction, engineering, or building materials - MBA or relevant advanced degree Summary About Roseburg Forest Products Founded in 1936, Roseburg Forest Products is a privately held company based in Springfield, Oregon.
