TPRM Strategy & Governance – Third Party Risk Analyst About the role Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)’s mission is to reduce extended enterprise risk at Vanguard. We protect Vanguard through our stewardship of the third-party risk lifecycle and enable strategic, risk informed decisions. As a Third-Party Risk Analyst on the TPRM Strategy & Governance team, you will play a key role in advancing this mission by strengthening how third-party risks are identified, governed, and managed across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
• Steward and evolve Vanguard’s Global TPRM Policy, local TPRM policies, and associated standards.
• Lead assurance initiatives to strengthen third party risk oversight, monitor compliance with TPRM policies and standards, and drive enterprise accountability.
• Develop enterprise risk metrics, dashboards, and reporting to create improved transparency and inform third-party risk reduction activities.
• Support enterprise and departmental initiatives that advance the maturity, effectiveness, and sustainability of Vanguard’s global third party risk management program.
• Provide strategic risk advisory support for risk partners and divisional stakeholders, serving as a trusted thought partner for third-party risk.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Minimum of five years related work experience, with two years in risk management.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across functions to enhance third party risk governance and compliance processes.
• Hands-on experience with vendor risk assessments, stakeholder engagement, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) tools, risk analytics, and reporting.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with risk platforms such as Archer and MetricStream, along with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and workflow tools.
Nice-to-haves
• Graduate degree preferred.
• Professional certifications (CTPRP, CPA, CIA, CISI, CRISC, etc.) preferred.
