**The Role**
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll play a critical role in driving business growth and customer satisfaction by providing insights on customer feedback, creating key performance indicators (KPIs) for our products, and assisting in feature engineering and model development. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to consult, develop, and implement KPIs, automated reporting, and data infrastructure improvements to meet business needs. Your expertise in data analysis, visualization, and modeling will help us identify defects, associate them with root causes, and prioritize improvement opportunities based on business and customer needs.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations
* Partner with operations, business teams, economists, and machine learning teams to consult, develop, and implement KPIs, automated reporting, and data infrastructure improvements
* Develop end-to-end automation of pipelines for applications and machine learning models
* Apply analytical skills to extract meaningful insights and learnings from large and complicated data sets
* Serve as a liaison with business and technical teams to achieve project objectives, requiring data gathering, problem-solving, modeling, and communication of insights and recommendations

**Essential Qualifications**
* 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with experience in Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, and other data warehousing technologies
* Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
* Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
* Experience in statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
* Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
* Experience writing complex SQL queries
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
* Experience in data mining, ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
