Overview - Engineering Training Product Development Manager
As a Product Development Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping industry-leading training and assessment products. You will be expected to take full ownership of product development and lead projects from concept and needs analysis through to scope identification, procurement and product or service release and ongoing maintenance.
You'll research industry needs, create feasibility reports, and ensure products exceed customer expectations. From scoping and developing products within set timelines to collaborating with technical experts and managing suppliers, you'll oversee the full lifecycle. You'll also maintain strong communication with stakeholders, ensure products meet the latest educational standards, and provide clear documentation and audit trails to back up your work.
This role is fully remote (home based) with occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities - Engineering Training Product Development Manager
?nalyse, design, develop, implement and evaluate, as well as periodically review and quality assure training products. Those products may include but are not limited to standards, regulated qualifications, courses, e-learning materials, technical tests, assessments and promotional materials.
?dentify, select and contract with suppliers while managing their performance
?ffectively manage all internal and external project stakeholders
?evelop and maintain good lines of communication internally and externally
?aintain industrial knowledge and display a commitment to continuing professional development
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: ENGINEERING TRAINING PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
?ackground in Engineering (any discipline considered)
?xperience within Further Education (i.e., as an assessor, tutor, lecturer, IQA)
?roject management skills and experience in an engineering or training capacity
?irst-hand experience of training delivery and theory, training needs analysis or training product and service development relevant to an industrial environment.
?ood critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
?ood time management skills and the ability to work independently
?ffective leadership and management skills.
?bility to network effectively, negotiate well and influence people. Broker relationships with stakeholders within and outside the project
?ood IT skills
?ND/Degree level of education or equivalent gained via experience.
