Description
Director, HR Operations
You'll own the HR infrastructure for ACR's six distribution centers across the U.S. and Canada, contribute to building the systems that scale, and be the person business leaders call when things get hard. You'll have real scope: employee relations, talent integration, performance, compensation, compliance, and M&A people work. You'll be expected to drive outcomes, not just advise on them.
What You'll Own
Day-to-Day HR Operations
• Run the full HR operating model: performance management, compensation, ER, benefits, compliance, and workforce data.
• Be the escalation point for complex employee relations issues—conflict resolution, PIPs, and the tough conversations managers avoid.
• Standardize what works and cut what doesn't. Drive consistency across six distribution centers without losing operational flexibility.
• Use HR tech and automation to free your team from administrative drag.
Talent & Development
• Lead post-M&A people integration—org design, talent alignment, cultural onboarding, and leadership continuity.
• Own succession planning for critical roles. Build pipelines, not just lists.
• Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to make career development a real practice, not a once-a-year conversation.
Insights & Leadership
• Turn HR data into clear narratives for senior leadership—trends, risks, and what to do about them.
• Lead and develop a team of HR Generalists and HRBPs. Set standards, coach, and hold the bar.
• Serve as the HR functional lead on cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
Governance & Policy
• Own company-wide HR policies for the U.S. and Canada—employee relations, recognition, performance, and more.
• Ensure everything is legally compliant and operationally sound across both countries.
What You Bring
Experience
• 10+ years in HR generalist and HR systems roles.
• 5+ years managing people—you know how to build a team and hold it accountable.
• Track record in distribution, warehousing, or similarly operational environments is a strong plus.
• Experience with M&A integration is a plus.
