About Us & the Role

AccessNurse, a TeamHealth company, is looking for exceptional individuals to join our team in this non-clinical, medical support role.

The Patient Coordinator (PC) is the first point of contact with patients who are seeking medical assistance and support from their doctor. The PC builds an immediate trust with the patient as well as provides compassion and empathy using customized scripting. The PC accurately documents the patient's needs prior to the patient speaking with a nurse.

Pay & Other Things to Consider:

Base pay is $17.00 per hour

Additional incentives/shift differentials include:
?n additional $1 per hour is paid when on the clock at 3pm or after Monday through Thursday
?n additional $3 per hour is paid for weekend hours worked Friday at 3pm through Monday at 7am.
?n additional $1 per hour is paid for Spanish Speaking staff (testing required)

Must be able to pass a pre-employment test and have a successful background check and reference check*(references are verified)

Must be able to provide a HIPAA-compliant workspace during training and your regular shifts

Must be able to meet home internet and phone requirements (see below)
?igh School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree preferred
?+ years of customer service experience required
?-2 years of healthcare experience desired
?nbound call center experience preferred
?all Center, Medical Office/Clinic, front desk, or first point of contact in a customer service environment preferred
?bility to type a minimum of 25 wpm
?xcellent organizational and computer skills and ability to multi-task while speaking with patients
?xcellent listening and comprehension skills to determine key information by patient
?rofessional, courteous telephone voice
?ependable, reliable and trustworthy
?bility to defuse conversations and escalate if necessary
?bility to handle confidential information; HIPAA experience is a plus.
?etail Oriented - Accurately process and document information ensuring data integrity
?bility to follow scripted information while interacting with patients and a willingness to escalate situations as appropriate
?lexibility with scheduling
?bility to receive feedback on job performance
?ilingual Patient Coordinators must be able to converse in Spanish and document in English simultaneously
?ust be able to provide a HIPAA-compliant workspace during training and your regular shifts
?ust be able to pass a pre-employment test plus have a successful background check and reference check*(references are verified)

Remote Workstation Requirements

Internet
? reliable high speed internet connection is required for this position.
?lease select a cable internet provider. Examples include Xfinity/Comcast, AT&T, Spectrum.
?atellite internet and cellular hotspots are not sufficient to adequately connect to our servers.
?ou must hardwire your internet from your modem or Ethernet jack to your work computer.
?iFi is not acceptable and disrupts the connection to our servers.
?he minimum bandwidth speeds must be fast enough for 23 megabits download and 10 megabits upload

?our phone line must be directly connected from your workstation to your phone jack or modem (depending on your phone line setup).
