Freelance Legal Transcriptionist (1099 Contractor)

We are expanding our team of freelance transcriptionists to focus on legal transcription, supporting court reporting agencies, attorneys, law firms, and other legal professionals. We are seeking experienced Legal Transcriptionists who excel in accuracy, detail, and time management to transcribe legal audio content, such as depositions, court proceedings, and client interviews. This is a freelance, independent contractor (1099) position that offers the flexibility to work from home, set your own schedule, and select the projects you want to work on.
Responsibilities: ?ranscribe audio files from legal projects with precision and clarity ?eliver accurate, high-quality transcripts with excellent grammar and punctuation ?aintain strict adherence to legal transcription guidelines and deadlines ?se research and proofreading skills to ensure correct legal terminology and context ?espond to feedback and make necessary corrections promptly
Qualifications: ?+ years of transcription experience, preferably in legal transcription ?trong typing skills with a speed of at least 70 wpm and 99% accuracy ?xcellent command of English, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation ?amiliarity with legal terminology and procedures is a plus ?bility to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively ?roficiency in using transcription software such as FTR Player or Express Scribe ?ccess to professional transcription equipment, including high-quality headphones or speakers and antivirus software ?illingness to work as an independent contractor (1099)
