Job title: Administrative Assistant (Transportation) Reports to: Transportation Director Summary/objective: This position works as a team player to ensure all orders are loaded, tracked and documented in a timely and accurate manner. Tasks will vary dependent upon need, and willingness to be flexible and adapt is necessary. Essential functions: Administrative Assistants are responsible for carrying out the day-to-day duties of processing orders, tracking, and ensuring all loads and updates are complete and accurate. Administrators also communicate regularly with the buyers and sellers, drivers, and their team. Competency: Basic math skills, communication skills, and attention to detail are critical to the success of this role. Physical demands: Must be able to sit for long periods of time, and at times bend, twist, and lift up to 15lbs. Position type and expected hours of work: This position is full time and will generally work Monday-Friday, 5:00pm - 10:00pm, with weekend availability required. Train in office for the 1st month. Required education and experience: No education is required, but administrative assistant experience is necessary. Qualified candidates must also have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel and Outlook. Preferred education and experience: Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English is preferred, but not required.
