Job Title: Software QA/Test Analyst – Operations (SDET) Job Location: Reston, VA (Remote) Job Type: Contract Location Allowed: DC/MD/VA Candidates Notes • Basic Knowledge of Health Care Claims processing. • Must have knowledge and experience in testing and development life cycle methodologies. • Experience in testing web based applications. • Experience in API testing • Experience in Claims processing and must be familiar with claims processing in the healthcare industry. • Experience processing claims using the 837 Institutional and Professional HIPAA Transaction. • Experience executing SIT (System Integration Testing). • Experience working Independently with minimal supervision / guidance . • Experience using and developing in Selenium • Experience in manual and automated testing using Client QuickTest Pro. • Experience using Jira and other Atlassian tools / application • Experience using Client ALM and/or an equivalent tool. • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Software & Tools: • Hewlett Packard Tool Suite Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Quick Test Pro (QTP) • Selenium application • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) • Proven proficiency with: SQL and PL/SQL • SoapUI Job Description: • Responsible for developing, modifying, and executing software test plans, test scenarios, defines and solves for test data needs, automated scripts, and programs for testing in order to ensure the outgoing software and technical products meet and exceed quality standards. • Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their root causes. • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. • Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software engineers and product owners. • May participate in the review of software design. Purpose: Responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining software test plans, scenarios, and automated scripts to ensure product quality and performance. Identify software defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers and product owners for resolution. Key Responsibilities • Analyze requirements, specifications, and change requests to design effective test plans and cases. • Execute manual and automated tests, document results, and log defects using tracking tools. • Validate new and existing functionalities, ensuring system stability and compliance with standards. • Provide feedback on software design, performance, and improvements. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering (or 4+ years of equivalent experience). • 3+ years in software testing or QA within a development environment. • Strong understanding of SDLC, test protocols, and defect management. • Proficient in at least one programming language and familiar with databases. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Preferred: Experience with wireless/network systems and test automation tools.
