About the Role: Senior Business Affairs Manager for Creator Marketing We're seeking an experienced Senior Business Affairs Manager to lead the business affairs for our Creator Marketing team. As a key member of our marketing transformation, you'll be responsible for managing the business, legal, and financial aspects of digital and social media production, as well as creator partnerships. This is a unique opportunity to be a founding member of a new discipline within a sophisticated marketing organization and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our brand's marketing approach. Key Responsibilities: Manage and lead all business affairs for Verizon's Creator Marketing team, ensuring the execution of various projects related to business, legal, and financial needs specific to digital/social production and creator partnerships. Develop and maintain expertise in the fast-moving creator/influencer space, driving bespoke creator campaigns, partnerships, and content strategies that meet the brand's objectives. Draft and update contracts and templates to reflect deal terms, industry best practices, and Verizon business standards. Provide contractual and deal-specific guidance to the team and cross-functional partners, answering questions and resolving issues related to contract scope, terms, and talent payments. Compile and analyze previous deal terms to establish precedent and inform negotiations for new creator deals. Manage and oversee SAG-AFTRA and Non-Union talent paperwork, including generating talent contracts and releases. Track and manage budgets, ensuring effective financial management and oversight. Provide administrative support for vendor payments, including Verizon direct payments and third-party payments on owned projects. Review creative assets for potential legal issues, including clearances and licensing of third-party materials. Collaborate with Verizon Legal to resolve production liabilities and create optimal solutions. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant experience in business affairs, contract administration, and financial management for talent/creators at a brand, entertainment, agency, or media company. Strong project leadership and communication skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written presentation and storytelling skills, with a high degree of aptitude for leading meetings and being a compelling presence in the room. Experience managing budgets, developing forecasts, and assisting operational teams in staying on track with their annual spending. Strong financial acumen and overall business experience. Analytical and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Eight or more years of direct experience in business affairs in tech, media, or entertainment. Experience building learning plans for quantitative and qualitative research initiatives. Compensation and Benefits: Our compensation range for this position is between $108,000.00 and $201,000.00 annually, based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.
