As a Disability Nurse Consultant, you will be an integral part of our disability management team, working remotely from the comfort of your home. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating medical records, conducting telephonic interviews, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate disability management plans are in place. Requirements
Active and unrestricted RN license in the United States
Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience
Experience in disability management, case management, or utilization review is a plus
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a remote setting
Proficient in using various computer applications and electronic health records
Responsibilities
Evaluate and assess medical records and disability claims
Conduct telephonic interviews with patients and healthcare providers
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement disability management plans
Provide expert advice and guidance on disability claims
Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all interactions and assessments
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS) or Certified Case Manager (CCM) is a plus
Experience
