We are looking for a hardworking, experienced and forward-thinking Senior Mobile Engineer who will help us to build premium, ground breaking native experiences for our five-star flagship mobile apps for our consumers and store personnel globally. The successful candidate is both experienced with Android and iOS development, and is a technical leader that thrives in a collaborative agile environment. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON? As part of this world-class team, you will be working on our flagship mobile applications and mobile platform! You will be joining a group of dedicated engineers to help us build consumer software and services used by all of Nike’s consumer mobile applications. As a mobile developer, you’ll also be chipping in towards our mobile technology vision forward and evangelizing mobile development and testing practices that drives Nike’s Digital transformation and growth strategies. This is a team that’s always on the offense, working on innovative solutions, building world-class experiences to serve Nike members around the globe. • Work with dedicated engineers for the technical development and delivery of sophisticated and intuitive app features across development teams, QE teams, and other geographically dispersed engineering teams. • Partner with the product owner and design teams to understand requirements and define an MVP for features and agree upon timelines. • Participate in the breakdown of stories into technical design, implementation tasks, sprint planning, and other scrum ceremonies • Collaborating with other engineering teams and architecture to develop new features. • Driving new features from end to end through prototyping, validation, implementation, launch and further iteration. • Working with application privacy and security teams to ensure the application is properly architected and maintained. • Build reusable components with sophisticated, intuitive interfaces. WHAT YOU WILL BRING? • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training • 5+ years of software engineering experience. • Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, test-driven development and automated integration tests. • Passion for UI/UX development and creating premium experiences. • Experience designing mobile applications to consume REST APIs. • Experience with Agile methodology. • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively connect with both business and technical teams. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. • 1+ years of professional experience developing consumer-facing Android applications. • Experience in Kotlin, JAVA and related modern Android frameworks. • Good understanding of Android SDK (Activity/Fragment Lifecycle, Services, Push, Location Services). • Experience developing, delivering, and supporting native Android applications by integrating REST APIs. • Good understanding of memory management and networking for Android applications. • Deployment and UI testing the mobile app using Android emulators is a plus. • 1+ years of professional experience developing iOS applications using Swift. • Experience in Swift, related modern iOS frameworks and popular iOS devices. • Objective-C Experience is a plus. • Experience developing, delivering, and supporting native iOS applications by integrating REST APIs. • Possess a good understanding of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented programming and MVC architecture. • Good understanding of multi-threading, memory management, and networking for mobile applications. • Remote Work Option – Open to remote work, except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate. For employees based in Colorado, this position starts at $121,000 per year. Information about benefits can be found .
