We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Account Manager to oversee our strategic partnership with Walmart and Sam’s Club and drive growth in the multiple hardlines categories (D10/D11).

Position Overview: The National Account Manager (NAM) for Walmart will be responsible for managing and growing our business relationship with Walmart, focusing on the hardlines category. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in account management, a deep understanding of the hardlines market, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding results. Deep understanding of Walmart businesses and processes are required. Ability to build rapport and trust with the buying and private label teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for Walmart, managing day-to-day operations, addressing any issues, and ensuring that our partnership meets or exceeds expectations.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets, expand market share, and drive revenue growth within the hardlines category.
• Sales and Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability, negotiate contracts and pricing, and implement promotional strategies to drive product visibility and sales.
• Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions and optimize product offerings.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and effective execution of account strategies.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare regular reports, and present insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Walmart, fostering a positive and productive partnership.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise, ensuring a smooth and efficient business operation.

Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management or sales within the hardlines category, with a proven track record of managing large retail accounts specifically Walmart and Sam’s Club.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the hardlines market, including product trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills; exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
• Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with Walmart on buying trips and attend industry events.
