Utilization Review Nurse Compensation
• The pay for this position is $40-$42 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Utilization Review Nurse Highlights
• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday – Friday, standard business hours
Utilization Review Nurse Responsibilities
• Perform concurrent reviews to determine medical necessity and appropriate level of care
• Evaluate inpatient services including acuity, resource utilization, and length of stay
• Contribute to discharge planning and care transitions
• Collaborate with providers, care management, and Medical Directors
• Document review findings in health management systems according to utilization management policies
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and internal guidelines
• Provide feedback to leadership regarding opportunities for care improvement
Requirements
• Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• 2–4 years of related experience
• 2+ years of acute care experience required
• RN license
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations
• Experience with utilization management processes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
