Job Description:Role: Senior Shopify Developer (DTC / CRO-Focused) Objective Hire a senior, A-player Shopify developer to own our website experience end-to-end. Primary goal: - Increase conversion rate and site performance - Ship high-quality landing pages quickly - Support full website rebuild + ongoing experimentation This role replaces the need for an external agency and brings execution in-house. Core Responsibilities 1. Landing Page Development (Primary Focus) - Build net-new landing pages from Figma - Translate designs into pixel-perfect, responsive Shopify pages - Improve layouts, UX, and conversion during implementation - Create iterations / variants for testing Expectation: - Fast turnaround - High quality - CRO-minded execution (not just design replication) 2. Shopify Development (Full Ownership) - Customize and extend Shopify theme (Liquid, JS, HTML/CSS) - Build reusable sections and templates - Implement new functionality within Shopify architecture - Troubleshoot bugs and fix issues quickly 3. CRO & Experimentation - Implement A/B tests and landing page variations - Identify opportunities to improve conversion - Optimize funnels, PDPs, and landing experiences 4. Site Performance & Technical Quality - Improve site speed and Core Web Vitals - Ensure clean, scalable, maintainable code - Optimize mobile experience 5. Website Rebuild Support - Contribute to full site refresh - Build new templates, structures, and components - Maintain ongoing production while rebuild is in progress Success Criteria - Landing pages are shipped quickly and consistently - Developer can build a net-new page in hours, not days - Conversion rate improves over time - Site speed and performance improve - Minimal need for oversight or hand-holding - Acts as owner of the Shopify experience Requirements Must-Have - 5+ years Shopify development experience - Strong in:- Shopify Liquid - JavaScript - HTML/CSS - Theme architecture and customization - Experience building DTC landing pages - Strong understanding of:- UX/UI - CRO principles - Mobile-first design Capabilities Required - Can take Figma designs → production-ready pages quickly - Can improve layouts and flows independently - Balances speed and quality - Strong async communication (Slack, minimal meetings) Nice-to-Have - A/B testing tools (Convert, VWO, etc.) - Experience with page builders (Replo, Shogun) - Subscription platforms (Recharge, Skio) - Analytics setup (GA4, Meta Pixel) - Technical SEO knowledge - Experience with $10M+ DTC brands Working Model - Reports into: Founder / Growth team - Works closely with: Design (Figma-based workflow) - Communication: Slack, async-first - Minimal meetings - High ownership, fast execution environment Candidate Profile (What We Actually Want) - Senior-level operator (not junior / mid) - Has worked on high-performing DTC brands - Thinks in conversion, not just code - Fast executor with strong judgment - Can operate independently without PM overhead What We Do NOT Want - Pure “ticket-taker” developers - Slow, process-heavy agency-style devs - People who only implement designs without thinking - Anyone without real CRO / DTC experience Compensation & Structure - $60K–$80K USD - Full-time or contractor - Must be North America-based Hiring Notes - Prioritize candidates with real DTC examples - Must provide live Shopify sites or landing pages - CRO thinking is a key filter (not optional) - Speed of execution is critical     Additional Information:Screening Question (Required) “Walk me through a landing page you built that improved conversion rate.
