Read carefully. This post is intentionally strict.
I am looking for a senior, autonomous fintech product builder (individual or small team) who can own a complex fintech product end-to-end with minimal involvement from me.
I am a busy entrepreneur and do not have time to micromanage. I am specifically looking for someone who can act like a Product Owner / Product Manager in addition to being able to execute technically. If you need detailed tickets, constant direction, or frequent clarification for obvious product decisions, this will not be a good fit.
What I need (non-negotiable):
1. True end-to-end ownership
You must be able to take responsibility for the entire product lifecycle. This includes proactively building things I should not have to ask for, such as:
• Forgot password / account recovery flows
• Error states and edge cases
• Contact/support pages
• Sensible onboarding, empty states, and UX copy
• Guardrails, validations, and obvious fintech safety measures
I will not be around to remind you of basic product requirements. I need someone who can take the product and run with it.
2. Proven fintech launch experience (live products only)
You must have launched fintech products from scratch, not just iterated on existing apps.
Your application MUST include a link to a live, currently-running fintech product that you personally helped build and launch.
The product must involve at least one of the following:
• Wallets
• Money movement
• Rewards or cashback
• Balances or ledgers
• Subscriptions tied to financial logic
No screenshots. No Figma links. No “can’t share due to NDA.” A live URL is required.
... If you do not include this, I will not respond.
3. Real fintech competence (not generic SaaS)
This product involves real money and real risk. You must understand:
• Ledger integrity and balance correctness
• Async payment events and webhooks
• Idempotency
• Reconciliation issues
• Payment failures, retries, and edge cases
• Why fintech systems break in production
If you have never dealt with withdrawals, refunds, or ledger reversals in production, this is not the right project.
4. Strong UI/UX and mobile-responsive design
This is a consumer-facing fintech product. You must have:
• A strong design and UX eye
• Experience building clean, modern, mobile-responsive interfaces
• Familiarity with consumer-grade fintech UX (not just admin dashboards)
We do have Figma designs that you can leverage, but you are expected to use judgment and improve things where needed.
Context and existing work:
There is an existing version live at OrbitBack.com that you can review.
You can also review the full Product Requirements Document here:

Important:
The existing version does not work correctly. That is why I am looking for a new team.
Several fintech-specialized agencies have already advised that the current codebase has serious architectural and ledger-related issues, and that starting over from scratch may be the correct move.
I am not married to the existing implementation. You are free to:
• Rebuild from scratch, or
• Salvage and iterate if you believe it is safe to do so
The priority is correctness, security, and long-term maintainability, not preserving bad code.
Application requirements (strict):
Your response must include:
1. A live link to a fintech product you helped build and launch
2. Your exact role on that product
3. Whether you are a solo builder, small team, or agency (and who would actually work on this)
4. How you handle product decisions when the founder is unavailable
Generic agency pitches, AI-generated responses, or portfolio dumps without a live fintech link will be ignored.
If you have real fintech experience, strong product instincts, and can operate autonomously, I’m happy to talk.
If not, please don’t apply.
