Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. The Facility Operations Center Engineer will support the 24/7 monitoring of data center infrastructure, ensuring optimal customer experience through reliability and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
• Able to properly respond, acknowledge, investigate, and dispatch critical alarms
• Monitor the facility infrastructure platform
• Perform change management tasks; create and issue tickets
• Follow verbal and written directions
• Have an intermediate level of understanding of critical infrastructure and proficient computer and communication skills
• Required shift-work, overtime, and/or rotating schedules to support a 24X7 environment (Rotating shift work equates to weekends, nights, holidays and overtime shifts)
Skills
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.) experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
