The role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery, providing customer service to employees, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Responsibilities - Execute daily payroll processing for assigned payroll cycles with accuracy, consistency, and on‑time delivery - Prepare and process manual check requests as needed - Accurately process separation (severance) agreements in alignment with individual agreement terms - Serve as a resource to HR Coordinators, providing daily guidance on payroll procedures and best practices - Review and analyze system‑generated reports to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and error prevention - Perform detailed audits during and after payroll processing to verify data integrity and required approvals - Produce additional payroll reports for employees and field representatives as requested - Deliver timely, professional support to employees and partners, responding to inquiries within one business day - Manage payroll‑related communication (phone, email, fax) with courtesy, accuracy, and attention to detail - Collaborate closely with cross‑functional HR teams—including Tax, Benefits, and Workers’ Compensation—to share insights and resolve issues efficiently - Stay informed on payroll‑related statutes, regulations, and requirements to ensure 100% compliance - Maintain strict confidentiality and protect sensitive information with sound judgment and integrity at all times Skills - High school diploma or equivalent required - Excellent customer service skills - PC proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite to include: Microsoft Word for word processing; Outlook (e-mail), and Excel spreadsheet applications - Effective written communication skills - Ability to problem solve - Work with a sense of urgency and the ability to multitask - Keen eye for detail and exactness - Customer Service (hospitality, retail) - Superior organizational skills - Associate's/Bachelor's degree with emphasis on accounting, finance, or business management - One year of payroll administration and processing experience - Working knowledge of the HRIS software (Oracle, Kronos, etc.) Benefits - Health Benefit Package - Paid holidays - 401K with company match - Accrued PTO - EID Leave Company Overview - Select Medical is a healthcare services organization that operates hospitals and clinics focused on post-acute care and recovery programs.
