**Job Overview**
As an experienced full stack data entry specialist, you'll work closely with our team of experts to develop and implement solutions that address the complex challenges of responsible AI and machine learning. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Developing and maintaining focal assets and tooling for identifying, estimating, and mitigating potential damages caused by generative AI systems
* Collaborating with Microsoft product groups to drive proactive approaches to responsible AI
* Contributing to or driving research projects aimed at advancing the state-of-the-art in responsible AI
* Working with an interdisciplinary team of experts, including applied researchers, linguists, and computer programmers, to tackle complex sociotechnical challenges
* Developing and maintaining expertise in working with large-scale language models and multimodal models, with a strong focus on fairness, diversity, and inclusion
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and maintain focal assets and tooling for identifying, estimating, and mitigating potential damages caused by generative AI systems
* Collaborate with Microsoft product groups to drive proactive approaches to responsible AI
* Contribute to or drive research projects aimed at advancing the state-of-the-art in responsible AI
* Work with an interdisciplinary team of experts to tackle complex sociotechnical challenges
* Develop and maintain expertise in working with large-scale language models and multimodal models, with a strong focus on fairness, diversity, and inclusion
* Screen research advances and apply them to shape your applied science work
* Present your work to internal and external partners, including Microsoft administration
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with 4+ years of related experience (e.g., predictive analytics, research)
* OR Graduate degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with 3+ years of related experience (e.g., predictive analytics, research)
* OR Doctorate in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with 1+ year(s) of related experience (e.g., predictive analytics, research)
* OR comparable experience
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Graduate degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with 6+ years of related experience (e.g., predictive analytics, research)
* OR Doctorate in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with 3+ years of related experience (e.g., predictive analytics, research)
* OR identical experience
* Experience working at the intersection of generative AI and responsible AI, trust, and security
* Experience approaching fairness as a sociotechnical challenge rather than an algorithmic one
* Experience working with products and services that incorporate generative AI
* Experience working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team across multiple roles
* Experience working with partners with diverse technical and non-technical backgrounds
* Ability to advance independently in new areas, including by reading academic papers
* Ability to work independently and rapidly on complex and new codebases
* Scholarly interest and strong passion for tackling real-world challenges
