As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our healthcare administration team by accurately and efficiently entering data into computer programs, producing and maintaining data reports, and performing database queries to assist with analysis. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for: * Entering accurate and complete data into computer programs * Producing and maintaining data reports and alerting management of inconsistencies or issues * Performing database queries to assist with analysis and reporting issues when necessary * Verifying data entries for accuracy and completeness * Undertaking special projects and providing periodic and consistent information to management for each phase of the assigned project * Performing audits of own work and/or that of others to ensure conformance with established procedures * Assisting in the processes required for medical case file creation and/or closing, including data entry and records management * Providing assistance with decision notification, including mailing decision letters to all parties and faxing decision letters * Accurately updating the Medicare Appeal system (MAS) and other databases * Demonstrating and maintaining appropriate judgment with confidential information * Determining if work assignments need supervisor intervention * Performing other duties as may be assigned by management **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** * Data Entry: Enter accurate and complete data into computer programs, including but not limited to, Medicare Appeal system (MAS) and other databases * Data Reporting: Produce and maintain data reports and alert management of inconsistencies or issues * Database Queries: Perform database queries to assist with analysis and reporting issues when necessary * Verification: Verify data entries for accuracy and completeness * Special Projects: Undertake special projects and provide periodic and consistent information to management for each phase of the assigned project * Audits: Perform audits of own work and/or that of others to ensure conformance with established procedures * Medical Case File Creation/Closing: Assist in the processes required for medical case file creation and/or closing, including data entry and records management * Decision Notification: Provide assistance with decision notification, including mailing decision letters to all parties and faxing decision letters * Confidential Information: Demonstrate and maintain appropriate judgment with confidential information * Supervisor Intervention: Determine if work assignments need supervisor intervention * Other Duties: Perform other duties as may be assigned by management **Minimum Requirements** * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required * 0-2 years of relevant experience required * Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred * Prior experience with Medicare Appeals and Systems preferred * Must be a US Citizen or have lived in the US for the last 5 years, working 3 years continuously **Home Office Requirements** * Internet speed of 20mbps or higher required (50 Mpbs for shared internet connectivity) * Minimum 5mbps upload speed * Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router * Private work area and adequate power source * Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US **EEO Statement** arenaflex is an equal opportunity employer. Annual salary is just one component of arenaflex's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, arenaflex provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
