**Job Summary**
As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for processing trade deal purchases, identifying and addressing discrepancies between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents, and reconciling transactions, corporate activities, and returns activity. You'll also be expected to analyze complex issues, test and validate new technology enhancements, and provide exceptional customer service to our clients and advisors.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Process trade deal purchases in customer profiles and identify/address discrepancies between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents
* Reconcile transactions, corporate activities, and returns activity
* Analyze complex issues and provide recommendations for resolution
* Test and validate new technology enhancements and provider modifications
* Provide exceptional customer service to clients and advisors through email, phone, Slack, Overview, and Salesforce
* Collaborate with Retail and Institutional Service Teams to resolve issues and improve processes
* Embark on daily interactions with fund companies, transfer agents, opposite agencies, and other external business partners, embodying TD Ameritrade's commitment to excellence
**Duties and Analysis**
* Review and process subscription deals or transfer requests
* Identify and address client/advisor account exceptions
* Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., 2340 and 15C3-3)
* Reconcile business, dividend, and transactions breaks
* Resolve discrepancies across BOS and fund companies
* Review and analyze correct tax coding and corrections of income tax coding
* Troubleshoot internal/external system issues or concerns
* Identify root causes of breaks between TDA, the Fund, etc.
* Provide method or innovation service alternatives to management
* Remediate transfer issues with the Fund or opposite firm
* Provide follow-up on substitute expenditure moves to expedite customer demand or remediate not neat issues
* Promptly and accurately finalize client investing and dividend demands
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
* 0-2 years of experience in data entry, customer service, or a related field
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Salesforce
* Ability to learn and adapt to new technology and processes
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in alternate investments
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance (e.g., 2340 and 15C3-3)
* Familiarity with TD Ameritrade's systems and processes
* Experience with data analysis and reporting
* Certification in a related field (e.g., CFP, CFA)
