Resource Central is an award-winning nonprofit in Boulder, Colorado, focused on water conservation. They are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to provide outstanding customer service, assist with administrative tasks, and support field staff in the Slow the Flow program.
Responsibilities
- Help people conserve water by becoming an expert on Slow the Flow program processes, procedures, and software; we provide training
- Deliver outstanding customer service for all program participants, primarily via phone and email
- Schedule Slow the Flow appointments including sprinkler evaluations and smart control clock and rain sensor installations
- Support 15+ field staff as they provide Slow the Flow water conservation services
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings in person, online, and on the phone
- Assist with other Slow the Flow tasks or Resource Central programs as assigned
- Foster Inclusion to help build a strong sense of belonging by ensuring everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included at Resource Central
Skills
- Outstanding customer service skills and ability to maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude is required
- Must be at least 18 years of age upon start date; High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail required
- Computer skills and proficiency with Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word required; we provide computer equipment
- Ability to work remotely with reliable access to the internet required
- Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, access to a reliable automobile, and a smartphone required
- Must pass and maintain a clean background check and driving record evaluation if offered a position
- Travel to Boulder or other Colorado Front Range cities approximately 10% of the time required
- Ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs and willingness to work outside approximately 10% of the time required
- Knowledge of water conservation, gardening, sprinkler systems, lawn removal, or low-water landscaping preferred
- Bilingual skills are a plus
