The Audio Visual Specialist will assist in the daily operations of AV services, ensuring high-quality support for audio and video conferencing, managing incidents, and providing equipment maintenance while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manages end-to-end AV incident resolution by monitoring the ticket queue, self-assigning incidents, and ensuring timely follow-up and closure
- Sends confirmation emails, assigns tickets appropriately, and escalates issues as needed to maintain service levels
- Oversees AV task assignments by monitoring the queue and ensuring tasks are completed within established service timelines
- Responds promptly to calls from the AV Support Hotline, providing real-time troubleshooting and escalating issues when required
- Supports on-site meetings and events by setting up AV equipment and room layouts, including configuring tables and chairs per client specifications
- Provides control room coverage as needed to maintain continuous AV operations
- Conducts morning and evening walkthroughs to verify room readiness, ensure equipment functionality, and perform daily shutdown procedures
- Notifies the team and external AV vendor of repair needs and tracks progress to ensure timely resolution
- Reserves rooms for service work and tests equipment after repairs to confirm proper operation
- Communicates effectively with employees at all levels, including executive leadership, to gather requirements and deliver high‑quality AV support
- Works overtime as required to support business needs
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent on‑the‑job experience in AV technology installation, maintenance, and support
- Experience with AV systems including security, performance standards, operating procedures, controls, and technical design/architecture
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with comfort interacting with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership
- Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team
- Proven ability to work autonomously within established support procedures and practices
- Problem‑solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work overtime as required to meet business needs
