About the position Responsibilities • Provide 3rd Tier District Support for networking issues. • Assist school-based Technology Support Technicians and Specialists with desktop, data platform, and printing networking. • Implement, configure, and administer all District WAN, LAN, and Wireless related software, hardware, and infrastructure. • Support administration of Wireless infrastructure utilizing Meraki Wireless Cloud Solution. • Support administration of Wireless security policies utilizing Identity Service Engine (ISE). • Support District VPN solution and provisioning of services. • Implement, configure, and administer all District Routers and Switches. • Assist Network Manager with operational support of District Firewalls. • Provision network resources in support of the District Voice over IP (VOIP) infrastructure initiatives. • Support Data Center networking equipment and District DMZ. • Ensure compliance with networking security best practices. • Manage various Network Projects while collaborating with Facilities Project Managers. • Monitor day-to-day network operations and perform data traffic analysis. • Support District school renovations and wide student assessment and testing solution infrastructure. • Support Cloud computing infrastructure and Mobile Device Management infrastructure. • Attend work daily, engage in responsibilities, and demonstrate self-motivation. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Knowledge and experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 IOS Routing, Trunking, VLANs, QOS, ACL's, VPN's, AP's, and Cloud solutions. • Working knowledge of WAN services including TLS, ENS, Broadband, MPLS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SNMP, Spanning Tree, VSS/VSL. • General working knowledge of network Firewalls and Voice over IP (VoIP). • Ability to work professionally and positively with others. • Propensity to independently troubleshoot and work towards viable solutions. • Minimum 2 years' experience in the use and administration of networking related equipment preferred. • Knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and Meraki Wireless Cloud Solution. • Strong customer service and communication skills.
