Get to Know Your Team: • Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. Responsibilities The Infection Preventionist plays a vital role in preventing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) by limiting the spread of transmission and unprotected exposure to pathogens in order to ensure a safe environment for patients, employees, and visitors. Qualifications Job Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medical Technology, Microbiology, or Public Health. • 1+ years' experience in hands-on Infection Control. • Certification in Infection Control (CIC). • Membership in APIC (Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) within 1 year of hire. • Ability to apply basic mathematical skills such as fractions, percentages, and rates to practical situations.
