Lucasfilm's ILM IT Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and talented IT Intern to join their team for the Summer 2025 internship program. As an ILM IT Intern, you will be an integral part of the team, working on exciting projects that drive innovation and excellence in the film and video post-production industry. About ILM IT Operations ILM IT Operations is the IT support organization for Lucasfilm, working closely with various divisions, including production, corporate, and Disney business segments. The team is responsible for delivering a wide range of IT services, including desktop support, networking, telephony, and back-end services. As an IT Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about technology and innovation. Key Responsibilities As an ILM IT Intern, you will be responsible for: Building, testing, and deploying software applications on Linux platforms Analyzing and automating manual processes using Golang Creating REST API calls within container topologies Developing and deploying automated methods to distribute downtime notifications for IT service outages and maintenance to Lucasfilm companies using Google App Scripting Developing and testing proprietary data management applications using Golang Contributing to operational improvements within the team, such as developing scripts to solve task-related problems and reviewing existing services and reporting on findings to team leads Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you should have: Strong analytical skills, including defining data workflows and recommending automated workflows to replace manual processes Proven knowledge and experience with Windows and Mac operating systems Programming and scripting experience, particularly in Golang or Python Knowledge of Linux Database knowledge Preferred Qualifications and Skills Additionally, you will be a strong candidate if you have: Knowledge of and experience with NFS-based enterprise storage Familiarity with film and video post-production and/or computer graphics techniques Education and Eligibility Requirements To be eligible for this internship program, you should: Be currently working towards a Bachelor's degree with a major in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter prior to participation in the internship program and returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorization Be available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for the duration of the internship program (12 weeks) Be able to provide own housing in San Francisco, CA, for the duration of the internship program Have reliable transportation to/from work Not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program What We Offer As an ILM IT Intern, you will receive a competitive hourly rate of $35.00 per hour.
