This includes nurses, patient care technicians, certified nursing assistants and ward clerks. The Educator collaborates with unit leadership to help determine educational needs within the unit(s) as well as with other nursing education professionals to coordinate and implement needed and required education at the nursing unit level. The Educator will assist with the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of educational services offered at the unit level. Ongoing programs include: unit based orientation, unit based preceptor development and management, unit based resident development and management, and annual competency assessment in conjunction with unit leadership.
