Job Overview The Personal Banker I position is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our retail banking team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing sales, service, and operational support to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Your primary objectives will include daily engagement with customers to build relationships, processing transactions, assessing needs, recommending products, and referring partners to customers. You will also be expected to develop an expansive knowledge of our products and services, open new accounts, perform maintenance, meet cross-sell goals, and solve problems on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities Daily engagement with customers to build relationships and provide exceptional customer service Process transactions, assess customer needs, and recommend products and services to meet those needs Refer partners to customers and create opportunities for cross-selling and upselling Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of our products and services, including banking, lending, and investment solutions Open new accounts, perform account maintenance, and meet cross-sell goals Solve problems and address customer concerns in a professional and timely manner Adapt to new procedures and systems to support the growth and development of the organization and the team Ensure operational tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, including maintaining cash levels and outages within established guidelines Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and management Adhere to regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure the safety and soundness of customers and the bank Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of banking products and services, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The following qualifications and skills are required: 2-3 years of previous teller experience or equivalent Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills Detail-oriented with the ability to work under deadlines and frequent interruptions High School diploma or equivalent required Above-average knowledge of technology and a willingness to adapt to new software technologies Ability to work under deadlines with frequent interruption and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Physical Requirements The Personal Banker I role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and distractions.
