About the Military DoD SkillBridge Program The Military DoD SkillBridge program is an incredible opportunity for Service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Field Engineer to join our team as part of the Military DoD SkillBridge program in the South Region. As a Field Engineer, you'll be the face of our life-changing products, driving customer satisfaction through excellent service and helping healthcare professionals deliver world-class care to patients using innovative medical technologies. Key Responsibilities As a Full Stack Field Engineer, you'll be responsible for: Evaluating basic customer biomedical equipment issues, implementing appropriate repairs, and performing planned maintenance (PM), safety, and environmental inspections. Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction. Assisting more experienced technicians on progressive repairs and resolution and working as a member of a local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned areas. Documenting all repair actions and submitting reports/summaries according to schedule, maintaining approved parts inventory, and managing vendor's service delivery processes in compliance with GE policies. Ensuring proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment and ensuring calibration, enhancing and maintaining technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment. Meeting Health and Human Services, as well as Environment Health and Safety requirements. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you'll need: To be an active Military Personnel. To develop and maintain good customer relationships. To have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. To meet special physical requirements, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching/squatting, kneeling/crawling, sitting, and standing for long periods of time. To be aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. Desired Characteristics While not required, the following characteristics would be beneficial: Previous experience and/or coursework in interpreting schematic diagrams and performing troubleshooting and planned maintenance on basic biomedical, diagnostic imaging, or electronic equipment following current standards, code, and procedures to ensure safe and effective operation of those devices. Ability to develop and maintain good customer relations. Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner. Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
