Deputy Chief Information Officer - Commercial Solutions (IDS) Position Summary: The Deputy CIO, Commercial Solutions is a strategic technology executive responsible for leading and transforming the Integrated Data Solutions (IDS) organization to deliver scalable, resilient, and innovative solutions for commercial clients. Reporting to the CIO, Commercial Solutions, this role will drive the technology strategy, platform modernization, and operational excellence across the IDS portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives, client expectations, and market demands. The Deputy CIO partners closely with senior business leaders to deliver mission-critical, data-enabled solutions that support the growth and transformation of our Commercial Solutions portfolio. Key Responsibilities: • Strategic Leadership & Innovation • Serve as the primary technology leader for the IDS business, shaping the strategic direction of commercial solutions. • Partner with executive leadership, product, and delivery teams to develop and implement a multi-year roadmap for IDS platforms and services. • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to ensure the organization maintains competitive advantage and operational efficiency. • Technology Delivery & Modernization • Oversee end-to-end architecture, development, and deployment of IDS platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and regulatory compliance. • Lead digital transformation initiatives focused on automation, cloud enablement, AI/ML, and platform consolidation. • Ensure successful delivery of technology projects on time, within budget, and with measurable business value. • Operational Excellence • Establish and monitor performance metrics for IDS service delivery, continuously improving system availability, performance, and cost-efficiency. • Lead incident response, problem management, and root cause analysis to drive service reliability and reduce operational risk. • Team & Talent Leadership • Lead a high-performing team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. • Drive talent development, succession planning, and technical upskilling within the IDS IT organization. • Stakeholder Management & Governance • Act as a key liaison between IT and the business for all IDS-related technology needs. • Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance standards, and industry regulations (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.). • Collaborate with clients, partners, and regulators as needed to represent the IDS technology organization. • Responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, and fiscal control activities to ensure efficient use of resources, in alignment with organizational objectives. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a complex technology organization. • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data and platform organizations, preferably in regulated or complex business environments (e.g., financial services, healthcare, or enterprise services). • Track record successfully leading large-scale transformation and technology delivery initiatives. • Strong business acumen and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • Experience working in regulated industries or with commercial/government clients is a plus. Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $196,500 - $300,000 plus incentive compensation.
