About Centene and the Role Centene is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and support to its members and providers. As a Customer Service Advocate I, you will be working remotely from Missouri, with a scheduled shift from 8AM-5PM CST. You will be the primary point of contact for members and providers, addressing their inquiries, requests, and concerns through various communication channels, including phone, live chats, and emails. Key Responsibilities Respond to routine member and provider inquiries, requests, and concerns in an accurate and timely manner Mitigate and prevent complaints from escalating by resolving issues in the initial contact Serve as the front-line resolution advocate for various member and provider inquiries, requests, or concerns Resolve basic problems by communicating the requested information, assessing member or provider needs, understanding the cause, and determining if problems need to be routed to other departments for further resolution Maintain performance and quality standards based on established contact center metrics Provide customer service in a high-paced contact center environment over the phone, via live chats, and emails Document all member or provider information and communications for quality and performance tracking through CRM applications Remain up-to-date and adhere to quality standards, regulations, and all other policies to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A High School diploma or GED Little or no previous experience required, as this is an entry-level position Ability to interact and multitask using multiple systems and programs simultaneously (experience preferred) Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance and quality standards Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Previous experience in customer service or a related field Familiarity with CRM applications and contact center metrics Ability to work independently in a remote environment Skills and Competencies To excel as a Customer Service Advocate I, you will need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced contact center environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Centene, you will have access to comprehensive training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
