The Role As a Customer Development Insights Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategic business opportunities for Costco Wholesale, providing insights on current business trends, and recommending future developments and customer forecasting. You will report to the Costco Sales Director and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive sales growth and customer penetration. Key Responsibilities Customer Level Insights Development (50% of Time) Develop customer-specific insights to build understanding of account and customize the National PNC Category Selling story Work cross-functionally with internal HQ category, Sales Strategy, and Marketing on new item development and sell stories based on customer level category insights Manage the new item setup process and track and analyze new item introductions Provide weekly updates on Costco Business internally up to PNC Leadership Own Weekly Costco Meeting to review WOS and inventory changes/challenges Maintain price value audits for customer reporting and internal channel management Conduct competitive analysis with report out both internally and externally Strategic Planning (30% of Time) Assist Director in building out Costco Presentations Leverage available reports/Numerator to extrapolate both short-term and long-term actionable insights for business Maintain reporting as well as current trends and gaps for both Costco and internal stakeholders Document competitive product entries and impact to both the category and our brands Participate in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, providing key customer insights to inform sales, production, and financial planning Annual Plans Development and Implementation (20% of Time) Participate in annual plan development for current year and 5-year horizon Assist in development of Joint Business Planning Meeting Ensure continuity for all volume driving activities throughout all PNC systems to ensure flawless execution Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 3+ years of relevant Sales experience within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry Previous experience working on Costco projects/Support is preferred Experience with Data analytics and systems (IRI) Proficient experience with reporting tools and platforms, Excel, and reporting analytics Financial impact analysis / ROI reporting Effective short- and long-term forecasting capabilities Experience in demand forecasting Must be willing to travel up to 30% (if not in WA), 20% if in WA Independent, self-driven individual with the ability to build vs. manage Collaborative teamwork and alignment Creative approach with a desire for continuous improvement Expertise in sales and category management within CPG Proficient in data-driven decision-making and strategic planning What We Offer At PNC, we offer a range of benefits and perks that support your well-being and career growth, including: Friday afternoons off (and a generous PTO package plus 11 holidays) 401K match - literally free money Hybrid work with an average of 3 days a week in the office for local Emeryville, CA folks All jobs are bonus-eligible Free custom lunch twice a week, plus plenty of snacks and shakes (for local Emeryville, CA) 2 weeks of work from anywhere time to move your Big Rocks Quarterly team building events/happy hours Bring your dog to work (3 days/week) Extended paid parental leave regardless of gender or familial make-up Join Our Team If you're a motivated and results-driven professional looking to drive business growth and expansion at Costco Wholesale, we want to hear from you.
